The 2nd Merdeka International Open Regatta

 

Indonesia is an archipelago in Southeast Asia which has about 13,446 islands, the vast sea area and a beautiful scenery both on land and sea. This is makes Indonesia have a great potential to be one of the best countries for a tourism and water sports.

 

One of our the programs to develop and promote marine areas and islands are organizes The 2nd Merdeka International Open Regatta 2015 which will be held on August 15 to 17 in Ancol Beach City, Jakarta. Based on the data we have collected, there have been increasing sail fan growth over the last few years under development of PB PORLASI (Indonesian Sailing Federation). There are 18 club all around of Indonesia who recruit young boys or girls to learn how to sailing and becoming a professional sail athlete. They are prepared for competing on International Regatta all over the world. Also as introducing Indonesia as one of the destinations in the world that deserves to be used as a venue for International Regatta.

 

On this event, we packed Regatta with entertainment on the main stage to celebrate the 70th Indonesian Independence Day.
